This reminded me of the same genre as the Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller. This movie relied more on subtlety and subdued underwhelming than Mitty It however was very effective and appealing to me.
Will Ferrell was really at his best in this movie... a whole other genre for him. It put the novelist in a God-like position and God in a novelist-like position. Is God going to save a particular life or write His particular and perfect story?
