Review of The Bang Bang Gang (1970) by Charlie S — 25 Feb 2011
A very very well written script. It was smart, funny, clever, and did away with many hollywood cliches. And the ones it kept in there, they made original. (Abe Lincoln & Elvis, anyone?) The dialogue was so good too, especially Val Kilmer, who was great.
The movie's self aware humor and Robert Downey Jr.s narration was the perfect as well. I think the plot could have been a little stronger, or a little more clear (which is why the rating isn't higher), but that doesn't take away from the entertaining value.
Oh yeah, one more thing - I loved the LOTR reference at the end. Perfect.
