Review of The Bang Bang Gang (1970) by Matt M — 10 May 2013
A murder mystery brings together a private eye, a struggling actress and a thief disguising himself as an actor. A captivating directorial debut for famed screenwriter Shane Black, whose script perfectly matches quirk and satire with elements of modern film noir.
It also marked Robert Downey Jr.'s big screen comeback, as he portrays the character with great charisma alongside Val Kilmer who is surprisingly well cast as the gay private eye with a penchant for sarcasm.
