Review of The Band's Visit (2007) by Venus C — 18 Apr 2008
I wasn't sure that I would enjoy this but found it to be a very pleasant surprise. The characters developed through sparse dialog and a bare bones plot. The director made great use of drawn out moments of silence and relatively no movement.
But the characters caught my interest and empathy.
