Yesterday I went with my wee boy to see "The Dark Knight", tonight I went to see "The Band's Visit". The former was over-long, and over-hyped possibly because of it being the last film of Heath Ledger.
Films with special effects for me usually detract from bad plots and acting, though I thought he played a good part as The Joker..On the other hand, The Band's Visit was just a gem, well acted, a simple story and I highly recommend you see it as it may not make it into the DVD hire shops.
