Review of The Band's Visit (2007) by Shajeev W — 30 May 2010
A beautiful little film: warm and human, softly paced and full of gentle humour.
Eran Korilin's charming tale of an Egyptian police band stranded overnight in a backwater Israeli village crosses the cultural divide between Arabs and Jews both in its story as well as in its casting of Palestinian and Israeli actors, and makes for refreshingly fresh viewing.
