Review of The Band's Visit (2007) by Alex H — 13 Feb 2009

This is a lovely story which gives me hope. It proves that people, once taken away from politics, religion and prejudice are all pretty much the same. I was touched by the relationship between the band leader's melancholy and the smoking HOT restaurant owner who helps him and his band.

My only criticism is the pacing and the deliberate framing of shots for stills. But I later realized the style difference in ow they were trying to make the scene emote. No action, no CGI, just a wonderful story.
