Review of The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005) by Jared M — 21 Jun 2008
This meekly compelling film is held together by a solid performance by Daniel Day-Lewis under the direction of his wife, Rebecca Miller. He seemed to have a chemistry with the material that nobody else in the fim had.
The issues of dependence and the resistance of impending change only resonate with Jack and the rest of the film's characters are unsympathetic and only clash and butt heads with frusterating results.
