Review of The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970) by Andrejs P — 27 Apr 2009

I really enjoyed this movie. Then again I'm a big fan of Peckinpah and westerns in general. Didnt really know what to expect with this movie but in a nutshell it was about jason robards' character overcoming the odds a number of times whether it was getting the hooker or proving he had what it took to make it out in the middle of the desert, Lots of good characters in the movie from the preacher to the hot hooker stella stevens.

and of course you cant forget about slim pickens! I guess it was a drama but there were quite a few comical moments in the movie as well.
