I feel like the Coen brothers are daring us to dislike The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. At the end of each one of the unrelated stories I found myself asking, "That's it?" And yet I've thought about this movie more than others I've seen recently.
These western sketches stick with you. What's the point? I don't know. But I enjoyed seeing it unfold.
