Review of The Bad Seed (1956) by Kim M — 17 Feb 2007
A mother starts to worry that her seemingly perfect little girl is a serial killer. A Chilling performance by Patty McCormack, reprising her Broadway role at age 9, is backed by some great characters, including the wannabe Freudian psychiatrist landlandy and her slain schoolmates broken down mother.
Production codes demanded an inferior ending. A terrible remake was done in 1985 but was made for TV and is not in this database.
