Excellent movie with great acting. particularly, I enjoyed Eileen Heckart. her portrayal of a drunken grieving mother added both humor and drama.

I was a tad dissappointed with the ending. the plot was heading down a very dark path then abuptly turns around at the end (to comply with the censorship of the 1950's). seemed a out of sync with the rest of the movie. also, ending with a "curtain call" was hilarious!
