Review of The Bad Seed (1956) by Steve W — 01 Nov 2013
Before The Omen, Children of the Corn, The Good Son, Joshua, and Orphan, there was The Bad Seed. The Bad Seed is a very influential film, with some talented stars involved. My only problem with the film is that is a little dated in present day, and the ending (although satisfying) is a little abrupt.
Its basically 2 hours of suspense and irritation with dumb characters, followed by a quick payoff. I don't usually like evil little children movies because they are all very similar, but this one was decent enough because of the little girl's rivalry with the wily groundskeeper.
