Review of The Bad Seed (1956) by Jimmy M — 17 Oct 2009
Patty mccormack is so convincingly evil. many many layers to each scene. very smart dialogue and unique characters and interactions. felt that some of the direction and acting could have been better adapted to the film medium.
some of it seemed very over-the-top and still stuck in the theater. there was a tension in most of the performances between naturalism and expressionism. but patty mccormack was on point the whole time.
