If you can get past the fact that Matthau isn't in this, it's actually a really good sequel bringing back almost all the kids from the original film. William Devane does a great job as the replacement coach. Jackie Earle Haley is alittle older but is still effective as the know it all, rebel kid with a heart of gold. This is also a great kids road movie too, its a shame its taken me this long to see it.

All in all you could do alot worse for a sequel to such a well known film from the 70s.
