Review of The Bad and the Beautiful (1952) by Juha R — 26 Sep 2008
Maybe the best movie made about Hollywood. Kirk Douglas plays one of the screen's most charming villains in this melodramatic Minnelli masterpiece. The camera swoons over the actors, especially Lana Turner.
Her agent is hilarious by the way. A very good film for all, but a great film for film history buffs who will recognize references to classic Hollywood throughout.
