Review of The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer (1947) by Alex S — 03 Feb 2011
This is such a charming movie! Although Shirley Temple was not as popular in her teens as she was a a child, I felt that she was just as much of a joy to watch. She and Cary Grant play off of each other quite well, and it doesn't come across as creepy or predatory either.
Cary Grant and Myrna Loy as make a great onscreen pairing, as they did in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. Perhaps this is just coincidence, but Loy and Temple really did look like sisters in the film.
All in all a good movie that I would readily see again!
