Review of The Babadook (2014) by Kate D — 16 Sep 2015
This is, perhaps, the most insightful look into mental illness I've seen yet. It's heartbreaking and terrifying -- and not in the typical 'jump scare' riddled horror movies that are becoming more and more popular.
This is subtly unnerving. The only reason I managed to sleep the night after is because I was so taken back by the beauty of the metaphor. I wish I could recommend this movie to everyone, but if you are easily spooked, this probably wouldn't be the one for you.
