Review of The Babadook (2014) by Abdullah A — 19 Jul 2015
Babadook may suffer when it comes to the effects used. Certain parts of the film could have been much more horrific if the effects were a little better. However, where it shines is it's original story and unique portrayal. The characters in babadook react a lot differently than you would think, especially the kid of the film, and it works great with the original story that lays out.
If you're sensitive to horror movies, babadook might give you nightmares. For the avid horror movie watcher, you won't be shivering in your covers at night, but you'll be left with a great story with elements of both the horror genre and even a psychological aspect.
