Review of The Awful Truth (1937) by Jacqueline S — 15 Feb 2008
Cary Grant and Irene Dunne had such great chemistry in this movie. It's hilarious, but it's not the kind of comedy you see much in today's movies. I really enjoyed Dunne's performances and little quirks.
It's a shame Dunne never got an Oscar for her work. She got plenty of nominations, though. Favorite scene: When Grant was talking with his future inlaws and Dunne unexpectedly showed up pretending to be his messed up sister.
Hilarious.
