Review of The Awakening (2011) by Rangi P — 12 Sep 2012
A throwback to British classic The Innocents, it is definitely creepy in places and I actually quite enjoyed this film considering the reviews. It looks beautiful and Rebecca Hall and Dominic West are very capable leads.
The biggest problem with it is that it gets overly tangled up in the twisty ending and a pointless sub-plot with the grounds-keeper.
