Review of The Awakening (2011) by Jorge D — 18 Dec 2012
"The Awakening" is an excellent thriller.
In a universe of productions that appeal to cheap solutions, as the easy scares , and tiring shaky camera feature, here's a great actress as protagonist (Rebecca Hall), a perfect ambiance, and a script that knows how to play with the viewer, acting within the limits between reality and the supernatural.
Narrating a story-driven are some secrets of the past, we have access to them only in the final portion of the film "The Awakening" is extremely successful in that distressing task of causing discomfort and addictive that only good mystery stories can produce.
The fact bring the production in its final minutes of a feature that is becoming repetitive, failure is not sufficient to cancel the numerous successes the one of best supernatural thrillers of more recent vintage.
8.5/10.0.
