Review of The Awakening (2011) by Jez M — 07 Sep 2013
Though it eventually diverges from the standard austere English ghost story, The Awakening spends most of its length mining the same few scare set-ups these movies have been utilizing for years, albeit with some aplomb.
Though it does boast some chilling moments, it is Rebecca Hall's creditable performance as Florence that makes this a picture worth seeing.
