Review of The Awakening (2010) by Ian S — 29 Aug 2012
A solid, atmospheric ghost-debunking drama for about 45 minutes, one single scene halfway through - you'll know when it comes - turns this into the most formulaic thing ever. Rebecca Hall remains one of my favourite modern actresses.
Dominic West does 'antsy' very well. Really good cinematography. Worth watching unless you've seen The Orphanage, The Sixth Sense or about twelve other similar films.
