What on earth was everyone thinking when they decided to finance this car-crash of a movie? The cast, including Sean Connery, Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes, are capable of so much more so quite what possessed them to appear in such disasterous fare is beyond me.
To find ONE good point amidst its laboriously painful running time would be a virtual impossibility - with quite deplorable FX, inept storytelling and scriptwriting and the sense that the actors MUST know the film just isn't any good 'The Avengers' is probably one of the worst films of all times, it's certainly amongst the Top 5 lamest adaptations of a successful television series of all time.
I only went to see this film because I had some time to kill, in retrospect spending a couple of hours in a public toilet would have been more stimulating. One of my life's biggest regrets, I still have nightmares about it to this day.
