Not as bad as most believe, except diehard fans find it sacrilege. Apes the original in many respects, from its bright colours to the empty streets, bringing 21st-century technology into a London that is inexplicably stuck in the 1960s.
Fiennes an acceptable John Steed; Thurman less convincing as Emma Peel. Wardrobe consists of chapeau melon et bottes de cuir. Connery a decent villain in a kilt.
