Review of The Avengers (1998) by Michelle B — 26 May 2010
Not to be mistaken for the upcoming AVENGERS movie in 2012. This film is based on the 1960's TV show of the same name. The movie is slow at times but overall does have itâ??s charm. The most memorable scene is when a bunch of mechanical wasps attack our pair of spy heroes but even that isn't much to work with.
The film does include some interesting oddities but unless you are just in love with English accents, Uma Thurman and mediocrity, you can go ahead and skip this one. THE AVENGERS and THE NEW AVENGERS were both used by the TV show, neither has anything to do with Stan Lee's superhero collective.
