Review of The Avengers (1998) by Zeldagiygaslord 6 — 03 Dec 2011
Ralph Fiennes, Uma Thurman, and Jim Broadbent in a spy movie where the villain is played by Sean Connery? That sounds awesome! What could possibly go wrong?
Apparently, everything. I will admit that the visuals are pretty awesome, and the final battle between Sean Connery and Ralph Fiennes was surprisingly epic, but everything else is so boring it's not even funny. I mean, WOW - there truly, absolutely was no human emotion in this movie whatsoever. It really was astonishing. The directing was amateurish at best, and the whole thing seemed rushed - a lot of scenes were short and seemed to go nowhere, and most of the movie was more disjointed than The Last Airbender. This movie really is as bad as they say, folks. Ye have been warned.
