Review of The Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004) by Kenneth M — 07 Jan 2008
Sean Penn was brilliant in this, my problem was that I just did not like Sam Bicke, the character Penn was playing. The film is about his slow demise while chasing the 'American dream' but I ended up not caring what happened to Sam Bicke which felt a shame.
I think I would have prefered the story to have more of the planing set around his demise rather than his demise being the main plot and the planning of his actions was brushed over in a matter of minutes.
