Review of The Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004) by Matthew F — 25 May 2005
Why You Should See This Movie:
Sean Penn is an absolutely incredible actor who gives another stunning performance in this film. His portrayal of a man attempting to hold himself together in spite of a mound of negative energy is perfect. The film isn?t exactly quick moving, but stayed entertaining for me mostly due to Penn?s performance. The movie is put together well, with adequate time spent on each story line and good transitions between scenes. The story which was inspired by a true situation is intriguing and well presented.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:.
If plodding character studies aren?t your bag, skip this one. Also, there is a fairly violent scene towards the end of the film that could bother some.
Conclusion:.
The Assassination of Richard Nixon is a very interesting film about brought to life by the incredible acting by Sean Penn that is definitely worth your time.
