Review of The Assassin (2015) by Dinovan — 23 Oct 2015
Boring and pretentious.
The critics seem to love this movie, but the audience left in droves when I saw it at the NZ film festival.
The director loves to have long lingering shots of scenery, and in one case goats!
The sparse use of dialogue does not help maintain any interest in the cardboard characters.
