Visually, this film is BEAUTIFUL. The image I saw at the Belcourt was super clean. At first I thought this was shot digitally, but it was actually shot on film. Natural light was used for almost the entirety of the film and night scenes were nearly all lit by moonlight and candles.
The editing and pacing is......different, however. Very slow and deliberate (A guy actually fell asleep behind me in the theater).
