Review of The Art of War (2000) by Nathan T — 13 Sep 2012
First of all, this was a rip off of US Marshals, another Wesley Snipes film that was released in 1998. He also played a covert government operative who was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit.
Since I saw the first film, I was even more disappointed by this one. I mean, did Snipes forget US Marshals? Did he just mail it in while waiting for the Blade sequels to go into production? It was not good at all.
I was disappointed by Donald Sutherland and although Anne Archer was solid as the Eleanor Hooks, she has done much better. She also just was hard to believe as an antagonist. I choose this film as the beginning of the end for Snipes.
Only redeeming quality was the action sequences. Don't waste your time and money on this film either.
