Review of The Art of Self-Defense (2019) by Netflic — 22 Jul 2019
This movie is a dark comedy which is usually not my cup-of-tea.
But it is also somewhat absurdist, and that combination somehow worked for me.
The protagonist Casey played by Jessie Eisenberg is a lonely accountant who lives with his dog.
He is a kind of a push-over guy and suffers from his weakness. After being mugged at night he considers buying a gun but instead starts learning karate that changes his life.
It was a nice watch.
