Review of The Art of Being Straight (2009) by Marc-Alexander T — 03 Apr 2009
The latest film in my Verzaubert Film Fest review was - surprisingly, considering the reviews - a serious let-down. What started off pretty ok, with interesting, cute and very believable characters, whose wayward ways through LA life and loves are interesting to say the least, gets somehow complete derailed and then falls off the face of the earth to disappear into oblivion after just over an hour.
No resolution to the myriad questions raised about the characters, their motivations or where their lives go after they've slept (or not) with their partner of choice for the day. This might have been a fairly good movie if Mr.
Rosen had gotten the money together to finance the last 20 minutes if the film which were clearly missing to wrap up what was supposed to have been something like a story.
