Review of The Art of Being Straight (2009) by James M — 21 Mar 2010
More like the "Art Of Being A Lousy Movie." Writer & director Jese Rosen tries to make a point of how being straight or gay is sometimes not easy to define. I don't buy that, how about his 2 main characters might be bisexual? He's too busy confusing his characters, a straight man experimenting with his gay boss, and a lesbian attracted to her straight male neighbor.
It seems the more important issue is sexual harassment in the workplace. As for the lesbian, she's just plain weird. Thank God, the movie is short at 71 minutes. The final scene is of the bland, all white charactersl smiling in a living room.
Why shouldn't they? They got paid for doing little.
