Review of The Arrangement (1969) by Private U — 05 Jan 2008
I think the problem here is that Kazan was too involved. He adapted his own novel into a movie that he directed. I think having another director with some distance from the project would have made it a lot better.
The plot also derails about halfway through. But the cast is great and there are experimental and fantasy elements that are really incredible.
