Review of The Armstrong Lie (2013) by John M — 02 Mar 2014
Lance Armstrong, Liar, Liar Pants on Fire. I mean everyone always thought he was a cheat, but it was nice to see him finally get caught.
This documentary was originally meant to be about Lance and his comeback to the Tour de France in 2009, unfortunately for the director Lance failed to win and the drugs only got him a third place finish. On the Brightside though the director had some fantastic insight and lots of material to use in this fantastic documentary, showing what a complete cunt Lance really was and is.
Don't get me wrong he never had life easy coming from a broken home, his battle with cancer which almost claimed his life. His story has also done so much for other cancer sufferers, and he has helped raise millions, but this was all built on a lie. The inexcusable part of his life is the way he bullied, abused and ruined people's lives to cover up his own cheating. Whist doing so amassing a huge personal wealth all because everyone wanted a piece of the miracle man.
This documentary has footage of Lance ripping into his critics during the sham that was his career, yet he has never apologised to any of them. The interview with Oprah is not an apology, tosser. It was another attempt at the Lance Armstrong spin machine.
