Review of The Apostle (1997) by Private U — 27 Apr 2013
Inspirational. My favorite character study and truly genuine. Robert Duvall is at his best and proves he is the best of his generation with his portrayal of a charismatic southern preacher on the lamb after an explosion of anger toward the youth paster of his church that took his wife and church away from him.
Ultimately I have to give this flick credit for is that both Christian and almost everyone else can walk away just as pleased with this moral story.
