A classic that shows how you can properly balance drama, romance, character development and comedy organically. The lead performances of Wilder and MacLaine are wonderful, the writing is sharp and observant, the complications feel like they naturally develop and it manages to take a light hearted approach on a rather grimy subject.
A terrific film that will surprise you with how much it warms your heart.
