Review of The Apartment (1960) by Rod A — 19 Sep 2008
Witty and occasionally dark, this film has been emulated so often, that it's a pleasure to see the primary source for all of the cliches. Fred MacMurray and Shirley MacLaine are particularly engaging.
On the whole, the feel good nature of this story is formulaic. If it's possible to erase all that came after, this can be an enjoyable romp.
