Review of The Apartment (1960) by Ben A — 17 Feb 2009
Part biting satire, part drama, part romantic comedy, but every part successful. Great performances, a well-structured and truly witty screenplay, and a complete lack of cheesiness (okay maybe there's a bit near the end) make this a undoubted classic.
It may not have the memorable qualities of Sunset Blvd, but it's polished to a mirror shine.
