Review of The Apartment (1960) by Stephen E — 21 May 2013
The Apartment has Wilder's acerbic wit on full display, but this time contained in a water-cooler comedy. The dialogue is razor-sharp, yet there's still an air of romanticism. Some elements feel dated and (as is typical for a Wilder film) it runs a little long, but overall The Apartment is a classic worthy of repeated viewings.
