Excellent Billy Wilder/I.A.L. Diamond collaboration. Part black comedy, part drama, but all wonderful. Jack Lemmon is brilliant as Baxter, who just wants to get up the Corporate ladder, and does so..at a bit of a personal cost.
Fred MacMurray and Shirley MacLaine also turn in outstanding performances. Wilder won 3 Oscars for this, and they are well deserved wins at that. A classic!
