Review of The Apartment (1960) by Jesse W — 25 Jun 2012
A remarkable film by Billy Wilder. Its sweet, funny and dark all around. Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClaine have so much flair together, chemistry-wise. Performance-wise, Lemmon gives one of the best in film history and the rest of the cast are astounding too.
Wilder, one of the best directors to ever live, puts another great film in his canon of fantastic pictures. I guess that's just the way it crumbles......
