Review of The Anniversary (1968) by Judy P — 13 Jul 2008
This was an interesting and at times a scary movie? A condescending widowed mother celebrating her anniversary with her children around her. The power she had over her children was frightening and the way she manipulated situations to make them very uncomfortable. Her eldest unmarried son is a panty pervert, the youngest wants to marry and the middle son married with five children wants to live in Canada.
Betty Davis was at her professional best. The all British supporting cast made the whole movie more lifelike.
There are mothersâ??in law and mothers-in-law, you donâ??t want one like this?
