Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Omar L — 27 May 2016
Movies based on games without any real backstory have the challenge of creating a world to care for in addition to showcasing what makes the gameplay intriguing to begin with. This movie focuses on establishing the "Angry" part of "Angry Birds" rather than the game "Angry Birds" itself, which leads to some cute humor and characterization for Red and his buddies, but it takes away from seeing more of the marvelous destruction that the game is known for.
Also, sooooo much toilet humor.
