Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Digibutter64 — 07 Jan 2019

One of the few movies based on a video game that I have seen that is actually good. Visuals are really vibrant and colourful. Characters are good. Humour is largely hit or miss though (generally a mix of crude humour and lines that I can hilariously relate to). The movie basically has the same plot as the original game but with further backstory, which I liked. The climactic battle scene was done well and is very reminiscent of the app's gameplay.

I'm probably older than the movie's main intended age range, so the toilet humour will probably appeal more to children. That said though, I found The Angry Birds Movie to generally be a great adaptation of the game and expansion upon its plot.
