Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Darthalien — 30 May 2016
One of the best movies this year. It's definitely entertaining for people of all ages. When I was watching this at the cinema, I could hear so many people laughing at the silly bird's actions in the cinema (a first for me).
This movie teaches kids acceptance and not to leave anyone behind because everyone is special and that anyone can be a hero, even those who have characteristics which differ from the norm in society.
What I also noticed is that unlike many other animated movies which wrap up the plot in the first movie but subsequently have trouble making a sequel, the Angry Birds Movie provides some questions that will probably be solved in a sequel in the near future. For example, questions about Red's origins, parents and the pig's reasons for stealing the eggs could potentially lead to a sequel.
Overall, a awesome movie! Great soundtrack, voice cast and jokes!
By the way, don't bother about the critics' negative reviews. They definitely don't understand that this is one movie that can actually entertain people of all ages, kids and adults alike.
