Overall, The Angry Birds Movie really shines when it comes to video game movie adaptations. I think that's where most of the negative reviews come from, and I can understand that. But this movie doesn't deserve the feedback it's getting.
The animation was spot on, the voice acting was amazing, Peter Dinklage giving a solid performance as the Mighty Eagle and it all came to a satisfying conclusion. Really, the only thing I can fault this movie for is the humour, but it's a kid's film, what more can you expect.
Overall, if you're a fan of Angry Birds as a game, maybe this isn't for you, but as a movie it works really well. I don't think I could give it a 10, but it deserves a solid 8.
